Senior UX/UI Designer · Istanbul

Hi, I'm V. Burak Keles 👋

I design web & mobile products around real user needs — clear, effortless, and genuinely enjoyable to use. My computer engineering background means I also speak the developers' language, so the experience users see is the one that actually ships.

About me

The designer who can read the codebase.

I'm a UX/UI designer who works end-to-end: research, flows, high-fidelity UI, and the design systems that keep it all consistent. Whatever the product — a nationwide recycling platform, a health app, a tactical control panel — the job is the same: make it clear, effortless, and honest for the person using it.

My edge is where design meets engineering. With a computer engineering degree, I design with the build in mind: components that map to code, tokens instead of loose values, hand-offs developers don't need to decode. That's been my angle since 2015, when I kept seeing beautiful designs that couldn't be built — and buildable ones nobody enjoyed using.

Since wrapping up three years at DIAS Group in late 2025, I've been building Xyroxia — a design system builder that exports straight to Figma — and publishing my UX/UI Handbook, while supporting a wide range of client projects as a freelance designer and consultant. I'm open to both freelance and full-time roles.

Currently building

Xyroxia — a design system builder that exports straight to Figma.

My current project: a tool for building complete design systems — color, typography, spacing, and components — as interconnected modules rather than isolated pieces. Change a token and every module that depends on it updates with it, the same way a real design system should behave. When it's ready, the whole system exports directly into Figma as a working library, so there's no gap between what's designed and what a team can actually build with. It's the same conviction that's shaped my career: design and engineering shouldn't live in separate worlds.

UX/UI Handbook

108 concepts. 12 chapters. One reference.

I wrote and published a handbook that organizes the entire UX/UI field — from design thinking and research methods to accessibility, design systems, and emerging tech — into one structured, searchable reference. Every concept is grounded in sources like NN/g, IxDF, WCAG, and ISO 9241-210.
